Mr Toads Ride
I took the teen for a driving lesson last night. He’s been driving at the school and went out once with his mother, but this was my first outing.
It actually went really well. We did some parking practice, lining up with spaces and not cutting too close to where another car would be. Then he parked next to another car. Finally we did some general driving around town which included going down a country road then unmaintained gravel; and a small stretch of highway at 55 MPH.. at night…
We decided that was a good time to turn around and head home 
Like I said, he did great. A little nervous at times, but smooth acceleration and breaking. Remembered to use the signals and check blind spots. And when things were a tad hairy once or twice he stayed calm and moving straight.
We capped the night off by going out to dinner all together (Viv and the tween) and had some great conversation. What a wonderful night.
