Trade in your electronics and get gift cards
CostCo has teamed forces with GreenSight on a program to recycle your old electronics gear in exchange for CostCo gift cards.
It works by heading to the website and clicking through categories to identify the gear to recycle. Then you ship the equipment in (they even pay for the shipping!) and once they confirm the condition of the equipment you receive your gift cards.
Currently they will give credits for Notebook PCs, MP3 Players, Desktop PCs, LCD Monitors, Game Systems, Camcorders, Digital Cameras, and Smartphones/PDAs.
They will recycle for free (but not give credits for) CRT Monitors, Personal Printers, and Fax Machines.
