Thunderbirds Are Go!
Actually, the title of this movie should be Thunderbirds Aren’t Go!
I suspected that this was true when the opening credits were done in the cartoonesq style. They could not even get the silhouettes of the aircraft correct. The colors however were true 60′s psychedelic.
Through the series in the sixties, I had believed that no one could take pictures of, track or otherwise get any specificartions of the Thunderbirds technology without them knowing and stopping it. So, the Hood (I believe that is who Ben Kingsly was portraying) has one of his cronies shoot some goo on the side of TB1 and this enables them to track TB1 to the base. What hooey! Or maybe that should be what gooey!
Bill Paxton as the elder Mr. Tracey is way to young.
Allen and Tin Tin in high school – SPARE ME!
Storeyline – again SPARE ME!
The only redeeming part of this movie was Lady Penelopy, Parker and their FAB car, FAB1. Parker in particular really fit the part.
I am giving this movie a rating of 5 (on a scale of 10) but, only out of respect for Lady P, Parker, and FAB1. Whthout them they might as well not made the movie at all.
How about a move about Lady P, Parker, and FAB1. Now, THAT would be something!
